About Us

In 2012 we (Drew and Deanna Beach and their growing family) set on an adventure to leave the hectic city life and move to a peaceful farm in Southern Ontario. We made a leap of faith and purchased a farm with a fifteen acre apple orchard, a small mobile home and a pond filled with turtles and other wildlife. The day we moved in Deanna started her seedlings for a big garden. Within a few weeks we had Tamworth pigs, a family cow, a flock of chickens, ducks and some Rideau Arcott sheep. We started making plans to build a farmhouse to accomodate our growing family. Things didn't always go as planned and we learned some things the hard way but eventually our confidence and skill set grew, and so did our little farm.

In September 0f 2021 we welcomed two gorgeous CKC registered golden retriever girls named Sunshine and Chloe into our family. More girls will be added to our breeding program this year.

What We Do

Breeding golden retrievers who are loved and well cared for is most important to us. Our dogs are a beloved part of our family and a part of our lives every day. We want our dogs to be happy and healthy first and foremost. Our goal is to breed puppies who are free from common health problems, who are outgoing, trustworthy, and eager-to-please and easy to train. Socialization from day one is a high priority and our whole family is involved. We also keep in mind good looks since golden retrievers are such an attractive breed.

Who We Are

We are a big family of twelve who value doing things naturally and gently with the welfare of our animals and planet in mind. We have a passion for raising exceptional family pets, companions, and working dogs. We value taking responsibility. We grow organic strawberries, and pasture-raised chickens. We hand milk our own cow, raise our own food, homeschool our children, and love Jesus.

Socialization

Our socialization techniques are a cut above the rest. We keep our puppies with their moms as long as possible. When newborn puppies get their teeth their moms will teach them not to bite and to be gentle. Puppies who are removed from their moms early can be harder to train and more aggressive than those who spend more time playing with siblings and nursing mom. We expose our puppies to different surfaces and textures and stimuli and handle them gently daily to get them used to different environments and to teach them to be good pets and helpers. We truly love our puppies and want them to go to the best homes possible.
